VIPOA is well established/organized with widespread Editorial Board Policies and guidelines to choose a panel of extensive academic Editors who work mutually to synchronize the peer-review process very stringently. We honestly adhere to COPE and ICMJE guidelines to maintain remarkable publication standards through precise Editorial activities.
The general responsibilities and duties of Editors:
The retraction of an article can be executed by an Editor under the counsel of Editor(s)-in-Chief and Senior Editors if the submitted manuscript has violated the publication ethics.
Editor-in-Chief is required to have 80-100 publications with an academic rank above Professor or equivalent and the renewable term is for one year. He/She will have an imperative task for the success of the Journal by selecting strong editorial board members and assessing Journal’s progress. He should revise Journal policies to enhance the integrity and ensure that all reports of research are being reviewed by qualified reviewers.
EIC will have editorial freedom where he/she holds full authority over the entire editorial content of their journal and the timing of publication. The ultimate acceptance or denunciation of an article will be specified by Editor-in-Chief by evaluating the quality of content, sentence construction, grammar, presentation, and organization of the manuscripts.
Senior Editor is required to have 50-70 publications with an academic position above Associate Professor or equivalent and the renewable term is for one year. He/She should assist an EIC in evaluating the manuscripts and communicating with editorial board members. He should encourage accuracy, comprehensiveness, and intelligibility of research reporting. He should be energetically involved in the peer review process and promote their Journals at conferences in order to ensure high-quality submissions. He/She should make sure that the article is free from plagiarism and request the evidence of ethical clearance for all relevant submissions. Senior Editor should fulfill only the part of an EIC in his/her absence.
Associate Board editors are required to have 20-40 publications with academic positions above Assistant Professor or equivalent and the renewable term is for one year. They should involve actively in the peer review process and make sure to communicate constantly with the editorial office to make certain sensible publication periods. Associate board Editors were given complete freedom to express their critical but responsible views to an EIC about all aspects of current research without the fear of vengeance. They should seek guidance from the EIC or Senior Editors as needed and assisted them in evaluating the manuscripts and taking decisions. They should protect the privacy of authors’ and peer-reviewers names in accordance with ICMJE and COPE guidelines. Associate board Editors should promote their respective Journals in conferences and meetings.
*All Editors are expected to review 3-7 articles per year.
